Testosterone Blood Test for Women
Testosterone plays a bigger role in women's health than most people realise - affecting energy, mood, libido, bone density and muscle strength. During perimenopause and menopause, levels can shift significantly. This test gives you a clear baseline to guide next steps in menopause management.

Common questions
Everything you need to know before ordering your Testosterone Blood Test for Women.
What does this test measure?
This test measures your total testosterone level. Although testosterone is often thought of as a male hormone, it plays an important role in women's health too, affecting energy, mood, libido, bone density and muscle strength.
Who should consider this test?
This test is useful for:
Women experiencing low energy, reduced motivation or persistent fatigue
Those noticing reduced libido or changes in sexual wellbeing
Women going through perimenopause or menopause
Anyone whose GP has suggested checking testosterone as part of menopause management
When should I take this test?
Collect your sample in the morning, ideally between 6 and 10 AM, when hormone levels are most stable. If you are still having periods, testing in the first half of your cycle (days 1 to 14) is recommended.
Do I need to fast for this test?
Yes, fasting is recommended. Avoid food from midnight the night before your test. Clear fluids (water) are fine. Collect your sample in the morning between 6 and 10 AM for the most accurate result.
